These are rear-loading mailboxes – The mail delivery person accesses the inside of the unit from the rear. Standard units come with a non-locking lift-off rear cover (requires a secured room behind the mailboxes); or choose a locking hinged rear door prepped for the USPS Arrow lock ($52.50 upcharge) for USPS mail delivery; or equipped with a commercial master lock ($85 upcharge) for private mail delivery. 1500 Series mailbox modules are grouped in combinations of 5, 6 or 7 compartments high, and 3, 4 or 5 compartments wide. The maximum allowable height, according to the USPS height restrictions is a 7 compartment high module
The 1500 Series Horizontal mailboxes are rated for indoor use only, and are not warranted for outdoor use
1500 Series horizontal mailboxes are constructed from all aluminum extrusions and materials, and include snap-on trim free of charge
Our horizontal mailboxes come completely assembled, and include standard 5-pin cam tenant door locks, with 2 keys for each lock (1000 key changes). This is the only USPS Approved tenant lock, although for private applications spring latch keyed locks or combination locks are also available for an upcharge
These 1500 Series Horizontal mailboxes are recess mounted only, and require a minimum of 17” of wall depth
Standard finish is Anodized aluminum. Other powdercoat finishes available are Sandstone, Black, Blonde Gold, Dark Bronze, Antique Copper, Antique Bronze, Gold, Postal Gray and Silver Speck – All at a 15% upcharge per module. Click here to view a color chart, or call if you need to see color samples
Mailboxes shown below all contain the standard sized tenant mailbox compartments of 5” high x 6 3/8” wide x 15 ½” deep. Customized units are also available with a wide variety of configurations, including different tenant mailbox sizes, outgoing mail compartments and parcel lockers.
